How To Use ChatGPT With Your Kids

I’m using ChatGPT 25 to 50 times per day.

This is how to use it with your kids.

And turn them into imaginative storytellers while supercharging storytime at night.

My son and I use ChatGPT to create supercharged bedtime stories inspired by his love for the Mario brothers and mash-ups.

I start by prompting ChatGPT with a Mario Bros story framework and

my son describes the world and the bad guys for each level.

His recent creation; a world of mazes and puzzles where the bad guy at the end is a mischievous, evil trickster named Lettercase.

ChatGPT creates the story (Bard and ChatGPT are now common words in our house).

Most bedtimes are still me reading books or dreaming up a story.

But after a long day of thinking work on the computer, my brain sometimes needs a break.

My son gets to use his imagination, and ChatGPT supercharges the story.

Plus, it's a healthy and fun way to introduce AI to his life.

Have you found ways to make AI a fun and healthy part of your kids’ lives?

P.S. Pic is my ChatGPT storyteller getting inspiration from Sue the T.Rex, the biggest T.Rex ever discovered (Field Museum).

This Week's Interesting Thing:

Attention dads!

id you know you're actually a teacher of robots?

And it's all happening under the guise of security measures.

Think back to the last time you visited a website and were asked to select certain images in a grid.

This process is called reCAPTCHA, designed to make sure you’re a human (robots can’t solve…yet).

What you might not have realized is that reCAPTCHA is actually owned by Google, and...

they've found a way to use this tool to teach their robots.

When that 9 box pops up, and you’re required to select certain images, such as a bus, you're actually training Google's robots (AI models) to recognize that object.

So, congratulations - you're an AI teacher!

And you're helping to advance the field of robotics and self-driving technology.

Who knew that a simple security measure could have such a big impact?

So the next time you see a reCAPTCHA prompt,

remember that you're not just proving you’re a human…

You're making future tech better.

Keep up the good work!
